Where we focus
Legacy North Foundation works across financial empowerment, entrepreneurship, real estate and community development, youth education, health and community awareness, and fiscal sponsorship. Some efforts are ongoing programs, while others are developed through partnerships and in response to community needs and opportunities.
Across our work, the goal is consistent: close knowledge gaps, expand access, and help people turn information into action and opportunity into lasting progress.

Practical financial education, credit, budgeting, savings, and connections to trusted community resources.

Helping connect individuals and entrepreneurs with knowledge, relationships and resources that can strengthen financial independence and economic mobility.

Education and partnerships that can support pathways toward homeownership, transportation stability, entrepreneurship and long-term asset building.

Supporting community development and rising local developers, and serving as a fiscal sponsor for aligned community projects.

Community health outreach
Alongside our financial work, Legacy North Foundation has hosted community health outreach. Our first diabetes awareness event in 2023 was held in partnership with the Empowerment Network at Christmas in the Village, and our second was held with North Omaha Community Partnership. Both were funded through grant opportunities from the UNMC College of Public Health, which also partnered with us on Medicaid redetermination outreach.
